Estimate your Worker expression of interest (EOI) score for the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The points come from Alberta's official Worker EOI points grid, checked on October 18, 2026. The same pool of Worker EOIs is used to invite candidates to the Alberta Opportunity Stream, the Alberta Express Entry Stream pathways, the Rural Renewal Stream, the Tourism and Hospitality Stream and the Dedicated Health Care Pathways. The maximum is 100 points.
How the score is calculated
The grid has two parts: human capital (up to 69 points) and economic factors (up to 31 points).
| Factor | Maximum | How it is scored |
|---|---|---|
| Education | 22 | Highest completed education (up to 12) plus the location of your highest education in Canada (up to 10). |
| Language | 13 | General proficiency in English or French (up to 10, the higher result counts) plus 3 bilingual points when both are CLB or NCLC 4 or higher. |
| Work experience | 21 | Total experience in Canada and abroad (up to 11) plus experience in Canada (up to 10, the higher location counts). |
| Age | 5 | 21 to 34 earns 5; 35 to 49 earns 4; 18 to 20 and 50 or older earn 3. |
| Family connection | 8 | A parent, child or sibling aged 18 or older who is a citizen or permanent resident living in Alberta. |
| Job offer | 16 | 10 for a permanent full-time Alberta job offer, plus 6 for a Rural Renewal endorsement, an eligible Tourism and Hospitality offer or an eligible law-enforcement offer. |
| Job offer location | 5 | 5 for a community outside the Calgary and Edmonton metropolitan areas. |
| Regulated occupation | 10 | A job offer in a regulated occupation and the Alberta certification or licence needed to practise. |
| Total | 100 |
English and French are scored separately and the calculator uses the higher general-language score. Alberta also collects, but does not score, your status with IRCC, the NOC code of the job offer and the employer's industry code.
What the estimate does not tell you
- To submit a Worker EOI you need at least CLB 4 in English or NCLC 4 in French in all four abilities. No minimum total score is published.
- Since February 25, 2026, candidates with an Alberta job offer must enter the wage and hours of the offer, or the EOI is not considered in future draws. Since April 7, 2026, a $135 fee applies to submit a Worker EOI. Since May 26, 2026, you can edit an EOI without changing its one-year validity.
- For context only: as of October 7, 2026, Alberta had published minimum scores of 54 (Alberta Opportunity Stream, October 2), 64 (Express Entry, Priority Sectors General, September 29) and 56 (Express Entry, Priority Sectors Aviation, October 7). Draws are not on a regular schedule, and a score at or above a past minimum guarantees nothing.
