Our commitment
Ghasedak Immigration Services is committed to providing services and a website that people with disabilities can use. We follow the spirit of Ontario's Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005 (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11), and we treat accessibility as part of treating every client with respect and equal access to our services.
The standard we aim for
The Ontario regulation requires public websites of designated public sector organizations and of businesses and non-profits with 50 or more employees to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 at Level AA, with two exceptions (live captions and pre-recorded audio descriptions). We are a practice with fewer than 50 employees, so that website requirement does not apply to us as a legal matter. We nevertheless aim to meet WCAG 2.0 Level AA on ghasedak.ca, as a voluntary standard.
What the website provides
Two languages
Every page is available in English and in Persian. The Persian pages are set to read right to left, and the language of each page is declared for screen readers and translation tools.
Readable on any device
The layout adapts to phone, tablet and desktop widths. The colour scheme follows your device's light or dark setting.
Structure that assistive tools can use
Pages use headings in order, a table of contents on long guides, header cells in data tables, and native expand-and-collapse sections for frequently asked questions.
Forms with labels
Fields in the assessment and contact forms have visible labels, required fields are marked, and an error message is announced if a form cannot be sent. You can also email or phone us instead of using a form.
Known limits
- We have not tested every page with every combination of browser and assistive technology. Interactive tools such as calculators and the multi-step assessment are the most likely places to have problems.
- Persian pages contain English-language names, form numbers and codes. These are marked so that they display and are read in the correct direction, but mixed-language text can still be harder for some screen readers.
- Links to the Government of Canada, provincial and other official websites take you to sites we do not control. Their accessibility is the responsibility of those organizations.
- Where an official table or document cannot be reproduced in an accessible form, we link to it and describe what it contains. Ask us if you need a summary.
Ask for another format or for support
If you cannot use part of this website, or you would like information in another format or with a communication support, please tell us. Give us the page address, describe the problem or the format you need, and say how to reach you. We will work with you to provide the information in a form you can use.

Accessible service at our office
Ontario requires businesses of every size to provide accessible customer service, including communication supports, assistive devices, service animals and support persons, and to tell customers when a service they rely on is temporarily unavailable. If you plan to visit the office, tell us in advance what you need, so we can prepare.
Feedback
You can give feedback about how we serve people with disabilities in person, by phone, by email or in writing, or in another way that works for you. Tell us which way you prefer for the reply, and we will respond that way where we reasonably can.
