Round #449: 2,500 CEC invitations at CRS 519
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held Express Entry round #449 on October 15, 2026 at 10:02:33 UTC. The round was limited to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). It issued 2,500 invitations to apply, and the lowest-ranked candidate invited had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 519.
IRCC's tie-breaking rule was September 21, 2026 at 19:00:47 UTC. Candidates with exactly 519 points were invited only if they had submitted their profile before that time. They also had to meet the CEC requirements.
B.C. issues 16 invitations at a provincial score of 54
On October 15, 2026, the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) issued 16 invitations under its Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative. The selection was points-based and the minimum registration score was 54.
This is a BC PNP registration score, not an Express Entry CRS score. An invitation lets the candidate submit a provincial application. It is not yet a nomination or an approval of permanent residence.
The temporary initiative has narrow criteria
The BC PNP guide describes this as a temporary initiative for current direct employees of B.C. health authorities who work in eligible rural or remote locations. The listed occupations are security guards and related security service occupations (NOC 64410), light duty cleaners (NOC 65310), and janitors, caretakers and heavy-duty cleaners (NOC 65312).
Applicants must meet the full published criteria, including the required employment history. The guide states that the Express Entry BC option is not available for this initiative.
Saskatchewan's trucking intake reached its 150-position limit
Saskatchewan's SINP table records all 150 positions in the trucking intake of September 14 as used, and states that the limit was reached on October 10, 2026. The retail window has used 137 of its 175 positions, leaving 38. The accommodation and food services windows had already reached their limits (on September 14 and 15).
These are limits on employer positions, not invitation or nomination totals. A recorded position does not by itself mean that a worker has received a provincial nomination.
