Estimate your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for Express Entry. The points come from IRCC's CRS criteria, checked on October 18, 2026. Choose From November 3, 2026 to see the effect of the new labour market integration factor that IRCC announced on October 16, 2026.
How the score is calculated
The CRS has four parts: core human capital (age, education, official languages and Canadian work experience), spouse or partner factors, skill transferability, and additional points. A candidate without a spouse can earn up to 500 core points under the current rules; with an accompanying spouse the core maximum is 460 and the spouse can add up to 40. From November 3, 2026 the labour market integration factor (up to 150, or 140 with a spouse) is shown inside the core group in this estimate, so that subtotal can be higher. Skill transferability is capped at 100 points and additional points at 600.
A spouse or partner who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, or who is not coming to Canada, is not counted as accompanying. Enter "No spouse" in that case.
What changes on November 3, 2026
- IRCC adds a new labour market integration factor worth up to 150 points without a spouse, or 140 with one. Canadian work experience is assessed within it, using the same length-of-work points as today.
- You can receive points for Canadian work experience or for a qualifying job offer, not both. Work experience route: your length-of-work points plus 20, 40 or 70 points if at least 12 months of that experience is in a high-wage occupation. Job offer route: 50, 70 or 100 points for a qualifying job offer in a high-wage occupation. This calculator shows the higher of the two routes.
- "High-wage" is set by the occupation's national median wage (at least 1.3, 1.5 or 2 times the average median wage), not by your own pay.
- A job offer no longer needs an LMIA, and an LMIA no longer adds points. IRCC says recalculating existing profiles could take up to two weeks, and it will pause invitation rounds during that time.
- Skill transferability still uses the length of your Canadian work experience.
