Estimate your ranking score in the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Skilled Worker Expression of Interest (EOI) system, out of 1,000 points. The points come from the MPNP's EOI ranking points grid, checked on October 19, 2026. The EOI score ranks candidates in the pool; it is not the 60-point eligibility assessment, which has its own Skilled Worker Overseas calculator.
How the score is calculated
The MPNP ranks candidates in the Skilled Worker EOI pool on a 1,000-point grid. The calculator adds the six parts below.
| Factor | Maximum | How it is scored |
|---|---|---|
| Language | 125 | Each of the four abilities in your first official language scores separately: 25, 22, 20, 17 or 12 points for CLB/NCLC 8 or higher, 7, 6, 5 or 4. A second official language adds 25 points. |
| Age | 75 | 75 points from 21 to 45; 20, 30 and 40 points at 18, 19 and 20; 40, 30, 20 and 10 points at 46, 47, 48 and 49; none at 50 or older. |
| Work experience and licence | 175 | 40, 50, 60 or 75 points for 1, 2, 3 or 4 years or more, plus 100 points if a Manitoba licensing body fully recognizes your licence. |
| Education | 125 | From 125 points for a master's degree or doctorate down to 70 for a one-year program or trade certificate. |
| Manitoba adaptability | 500 | Manitoba connection, Manitoba demand and a destination outside Winnipeg, capped at 500 in total. |
| Risk factors | down to −200 | Minus 100 points each for work experience or studies in another Canadian province. |
The maximum, with no risk deductions, is 1,000 points: 125 + 75 + 175 + 125 + 500.
Manitoba adaptability
Adaptability has three parts that add together, but the factor is capped at 500 points. A candidate who receives the 500 points for Manitoba demand has already reached the cap.
- Connection. Close relative in Manitoba, 200 points; previous Manitoba work of six months or more, or a completed Manitoba post-secondary program of two years or more, 100 points; a completed one-year Manitoba program, or a close friend or distant relative in Manitoba, 50 points. The calculator scores your strongest connection only.
- Manitoba demand. 500 points for ongoing employment in Manitoba (six months or more) with a long-term job offer from the same employer, or for an invitation under a Strategic Initiative.
- Destination outside Winnipeg. 50 points for an intended destination outside Winnipeg.
Risk factors
Work experience in another Canadian province and studies in another Canadian province each cost 100 points. Having a close relative in another province and none in Manitoba, or a previous immigration application to another province, carries zero points in the grid.
What this estimate does not tell you
You must meet the pathway's own requirements first, including the 60-point assessment for Skilled Worker Overseas, and the points depend on the evidence you provide. Stream, employer, occupation, document and current-priority requirements still need separate review.
